Turtle Dream Team

Muriel Abehsera-Cohen
Author
Muriel was born with an innate desire to tell stories. From a young age she would put on ‘shows’ for her family (and the neighbours) invariably dragging her reluctant brother and sister to take part. The world opened further and grew to an incredible size when she learnt to read. Reading brought her to writing and as a child she loved nothing more than filling her exercise books with stories of magical quests and adventures.
Continuing to embrace the world of communication, she trained and became an actor, performing in theatre, TV commercials and more recently in the voice-over industry. Muriel continued to write fiction and poetry. Her most astonishing and rewarding role, however, was becoming a mother.
After reading lots (and lots!) of picture books to her boys she decided to write her own. It could only celebrate her favourite creature (and the only pet she’d ever had and loved as a child) - Murtle the Turtle was born!
After lying dormant in a drawer, Muriel found the perfect ‘dream team’ needed for the ‘magic’ to happen and for Murtle to finally come out into the light.
